Biofocus

To exploit these opportunities, BioFocus has developed new technologies, based on SoftFocus™ focused libraries and its proprietary Kinase Toolkit™ informatics tools, to offer fast-track ways to identify and optimise novel selective kinase inhibitors through low-capacity screening of highly information-rich libraries. SoftFocus™ kinase library designs are based on exhaustive comparative studies of kinase ATP-site structures and their sequences. Due to their highly biologically-focused nature and BioFocus’ no-compromise approach to monomer selection based on SAR, these libraries are invariably more challenging and complex to synthesise than typical “diverse” or “biased” libraries.

Using Thematic Analysis™ our scientists have created a range of SoftFocus™ GPCR-directed libraries. Each library (containing around 1000 high-purity compounds) is directed to a key GPCR-related ‘theme’ but has additional multi-theme targeting built-in to provide a wider focus and thus ensure the best possible hit ratio, especially for orphan receptors. Launching in Q4 are SFG14 and SFG15, the first Family B GPCR Libraries. Please contact us for further information.
